Peach and Basil packaging design

This is a design i made on photoshop for the peach and basil icecream packaging. I used the 90's style designs from earlie rand made it so that the patterns line up making up roughly 50% of the packaging. This makes it look less crowded as there is not as much going on.

Your preliminary work is productive and certainly defines your overall progression and thought processes, though the logo initially seems rather under-refined and too illustrative, actually once presented within the packaging itself, actually projects a strong quirky personality and should be applauded for its design. In fact the branding should become the central focus point and not the overpowering tag line 'optimised.....'
The packaging colour palette and pattern are in tune with the overall brand identity and give the appropriate 'flavour value', though the layout arrangement is rather disjointed and seemingly constrained by the rather obtuse use of square boxes.
