FMP book 3 pages 7-13

First i looked at the concept of altruism vs egotism -specifically looking at the Kiity Genoverse muder case and the psychology behind it. I learnt that the diffusion of responsibilty is the denial of personal responsibility and the belief that someone else will probably do what is necessary. I though that i could apply this conept to my FMP about the environment due to peoples attitudes towards cutting down on single use plastic and reducing their carbon emissions. To make an impact people have all got to change the way they live. If we all take responsibilty, success can be achieved.

I then had a go at doing some physical photo manipulation. I produced a series of photos that i manipulated to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change. I have detailed the specifics about the message behind each photo in the sketchbook pages below. They all illustate the impacts that climate change will have on the things that we think we know so well.

Finally i completed a photoshop tutorial on 3D neon typography in image. I followed it and altered it to change the meaning behind it and to link it to my final major project about the environment. I chose a green leafy background to illustate wildlife and used the word life as it represents the life on earth that needs protecting. This is also further illustated when i chose to use a green colour for the neon lettering.

I learnt many useful skills such as masking and blending modes that i now feel much more confident in along with new skills like using the 3D feature, controlling the lighting angles and the neon effect. I can use these skills for possibly creating a brand campaign using the 3D feature to craete products or posters for it.
