Here I have done some lino printing using the typography that I have created from the photocopier. First I chose my favourite typeface that I created for the words Salvare and libero and drew it out on the lino. I had to remember to draw them back to front so that the letters are readable when printed. This was done by using tracing paper to help enable the accuracy so that I could be able to draw back to front. I printed it multiple times e.g. using more ink and pressing harder to get the best affect and to create a bolder contrast between the black and white. I then did another lino print recreating the S from the start of the word salvare as I liked the shape. To add more detail to it I carved a tree design into it so that when I printed it it would give the impression of a forest. This links to the environment as trees are a necessity for earth and for our future well being. I also drew it so that there was no leaves on the trees to get there impression I had been burnt in a wildfire caused by climate change (helped by the use of black ink). I then created some iterations of the S print using different colours and outlining them to create a more finished and neater effect. In addition I also did a final lino print which was just a bold letter S which could be used to convey a message along with other letters printed onto campaigns and posters.
Finally I did some more lino prints but this time on top of some articles from the newspaper linking to the environment sustainability and waste. The harsh black ink over the articles creates a affect conveying the seriousness of the issue.
