First i did some research into the ethics of portraiture - looking at some contoversial photographs. To start with i looked at Jill Greenbergs End Times series of pictures that feature toddlers in emotional destress with the debate going whether it is ethical to cause emotional distress to a child for the sake of a campaign. 'What an artists captures, What a mother knows and what the public sees can be dangerously differnt things'. i then looked at Sally Manns book of photographs 'Immediate family'. The debate here is whether its ethical to publish picture of your children when they are naked and also too young to consent or understand what is happeing. Finally i looked at the work of Steven Klein who took pictures of the Beckhams to gain the audience of America. The debate here is whether it is ethical to sexualise or homosexualise an image to gain a wider audience.

I then craeted 2 posters using differnt Greta Thunberg quotes from her climate change speeches. I ovelayed the text onto differnt images that i took that can represent it. The first is illustrating how the climate is changing - having impacts of the wildlife and ecosytems that i showed. The second is showing the abaonded gas works to show how we need to change to using more sustainable fuels for the sake of our future generattions. the ripped up technique illustrates the climate crisis we are in.

Finally i had another go at making typographic photograms using darkroom photography. I learnt that the more light you give it the darker the image will be along with greater time meaning greater darkness. F8 aperature means darker whilst the F11 aperature means lighter.

I really like how these ones turned out as the humming bird is clearly visable with the typography coming through from the other side.
