Firstly i did some research into American Modernism. It is a trend of philiosophical thought, arising from the widespread changes in culture and society in the age of cultural movement in the USA beginning at the turn of the 20th century with a core period between WW1 and WW2. Then using my research i craeted my own pieces inspired by american modernism. I made a covid-19 poster using a picture of myself from when i went to pisa italy and put the phrases Laventi le mani and stai a casa on it as it represents our current environment (wash your hands, stay at home).

I then did research on gestalt psychology which is the law of pragnaz (simplicity). It involves perception,sensation, selective attention and yuputka (The phanton sensation of something crawlingon your skin). The 5 principles of gestalt psychology are: 1. Figure ground, 2. Proximity, 3. similarity, 4.parallelism, 5. common fate and 6. colsure and continuation.

Next i did research on thinking differntly when it comes to advertising. I looked at paradox advertising, guerilla advertising and shock advertising. Guerilla is a strategy designed to promote products or services in an unconventional way.

Finally i did some research on typography and chose the serif font harriet and the sans serif font impact to experiment with and practice . I also did some background research on them and harriet is a recent font from 2012 whereas impact is an older font from 1965.
