First i have started of by researching the art form Dadaism. Dadaism was an art form during the zurich revolution (1915-45) Switzerland. It is the art of the obsurd - mocking the politicians and a new way of seeing the world. It shaped music, comedy and political protests. I then created a piece of graphics using a quote from Tristan Tzara (wrote a manifesto). By doing this i learnt a number of techniques on adobe illustrator and will be able to transfer these skills into my FMP. I also then did another piece of dada inspired work. I used cut outs from a newspaper and mixed them up in a hat. I then placed them randomly on the page to create the final piece.

I then did research into climate change and political art including the artists ; Linda Mackey, Fred Martins, Banksy and Mogul. Mackey wanted to convert the scientific research into art to get the message across to the public as she had been on many trips to the northern ice caps over the years and had seen the extent of climate change. Banksy uses street art to get his political message and views across. It combines dark humour with grafiti, executed ina distinctive stenciling technique.

I then finally did some research on the constructivism movement which happened during the russian revolution in 1917. The three factors of it are Industrialisation, Machine and function. I then looked at differnt examples from Neville Brody, Honda, Black swan, Black keys, and Franz Ferdinand.
