FMP book 2 research pages 36-38

Here i have done a workshop of vacuum forming and thermoplastics. Vacuum forming is a simplified version of thermoforming, where a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto a single-surface mold, and forced against the mold by a vacuum. Using the objects that we had we made a face of someone getting a haircut with the word trim placed underneath. When looking at the final product i realised that it reminded me of some of the extinction rebellion protestors - due to the bright red thermoplastic sheet. The Red Rebels, who are a branch of Extinction Rebellion, took to the streets for the first time to make people aware of the effects of climate change. The demonstrators were dressed in bright red to signify the blood of species that have died as a result of climate change, as well as those that will die in the future.
