First I did some research on the textile industry and it’s impacts on the environment (chemicals).

Around 8000 synthetic chemicals are used in the fashion textile and footwear industry to turn right materials into final products. In most countries untreated toxic waste water from Textiles factories are dumped directly into rivers. Waste water contains toxic substances such as lead mercury and arsenic.

I then did research on the textile industry in Bangladesh and the impact it has on its rivers. In Bangladesh its capital Dhaka, the government has declared three rivers as biologically dead due to the effluent from surrounding garment factories.Water pollution is currently the number one challenge faced by the fast growing industries.

Next I did research on natural dyes. Natural dyes are dyes or colorants derived from plants Invertebrates or minerals. Some examples of natural materials include carrots dandelion roots and berries.

I then did research on fast fashion versus sustainable fashion.Fast fashion is the process of mass-producing clothes at a low-cost.some companies that are trying to be sustainable include Ralph Lauren and H&M conscious. Ralph Lauren uses recycled water bottles and uses dyes that don’t require water in application process this will save the equivalent of 170 million plastic bottles from land there was by 2025.

Finally I did a page on the tales of the uncanny. I looked at the psychology work of Sigmund Freud and his ideas about the three personalities.

He came with the Id the ego and the superego.
